Your audiobook is waiting…

Making Money is Killing Your Business is built on profoundly simple ideas that have been around forever and ignored as being too simple to work. Chuck Blakeman has learned the hard way that profound things are always simple. These few things will revolutionize any business willing to give up complexity for effectiveness. It debunks the idea that small business is a 30 year grind, and introduces the concept of building a business in just three to five years that runs itself. Making Money also replaces the traditional concept of retirement with using your business to quickly build your Ideal Lifestyle, moving you and your business from survival through success to significance. Your business should throw off both time and money, not just money. This book helps business owners make more money in less time, get back to the passion that brought them into business in the first place, and build a business they can enjoy for decades. I mean we should all, everyone of us, expect our businesses to grow up and start giving back to us and to the world around us. We should assume that at some point our business would move from survival right through success to significance. Nobody would argue with me that we should intend for our children to grow up, leave home, and become grownups we could enjoy for decades, but when was the last time we had a similar conversation about our businesses?

Your business should produce both time and money, not just money.

I built five businesses from the ground up. Each time in the process I found myself as a hostage of my business, never knowing how it would work out, how I would get off the treadmill, or most importantly, a firm date for when I could look forward to enjoying my business. Along the way I learned two valuable principles that transformed me and my businesses, and helped me build a business I could enjoy for decades:. Throughout a number of my businesses I intended to work extremely hard and make money, and I got exactly what I intended — hard work and some money. But we get what we intend, not what we hope for. I learned that unless I very intentionally designed my work around building a great lifestyle, that all I was going to get was hard work and maybe some money. I decided I was going to turn the whole thing on its head, stop working for my business and make my business start working for me. We get what we intend, not what we hope for, And when I realized I could no longer let my businesses make the rules, I was on the road to freedom. Along the way I learned two valuable principles that transformed me and my businesses, and helped me build a business I could enjoy for decades: You get what you intend, not what you hope for… and… He who makes the rules wins. This led me to develop simple tools that would keep me on track to create that lifestyle: The Big Why — those with a great vision for what to do are more likely to be successful. A Business Maturity Date — to give me a very clear, measure of the time, money, and significance I now intended for my business to bring me, and a specific date for when I intended to be there — Friday, February 18, , at 10am. Process Mapping — to get me off the treadmill, allow me to train others to do what I do, and create repeatable and consistent experiences for my clients. Outside Eyes — I have others I meet with regularly who are helping me keep on track. You might also like The Long Pole of Success. Make more money — stop selling and let people buy. Which type of dentist makes the most money

It might not be a particularly glorious profession, but dentists more than make up for it with very good compensation. If you don’t mind working on people’s mouths, dentistry seems like an industry that will never really go away. Obviously there are a number of factors in determining salary potential, but the two biggest factors that I see are the location of your practice, and the manner of your practice. If you live in an affluent area, or which type of dentist makes the most money high jost area, you’re going to be in a much better situation. Also, if tyype are practicing in an area with few rival dentists, you have a potential for larger income simply nost good old-fashioned supply and demand. Your income potential also increases if you own your own practice. But this takes time, and also requires you to play the part of a business owner. By building up a business, with dentists working under you, your income potential expands much like the owner of any thpe. It also increases the…
